Attorneys in Jacksonville

With Approximately 100 Years of Combined Experience

At The Law Offices of Jason K.S. Porter, P.A., our lawyers have approximately 100 years of combined experience to bring to your case.

Our Jacksonville law firm delivers excellent service that has garnered legal awards and top ratings from clients and peers alike. We are well-prepared to handle all types of legal matters, including:

Criminal Defense

The constitutional rights afforded to a criminal defendant are a vital aspect of the criminal justice system of the United States. Persons accused of committing a crime are at a significant risk of suffering from governmental oppression. That is why we are dedicated to defending your rights in matters involving criminal charges. From domestic violence to violent crimes, we will zealously advocate for the preservation of your due process rights.

DUI Defense

Under Florida law, a person is guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol if they were operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of .08%. The consequences of a DUI conviction depend on the specifics of your case, including expensive fines, and months of jail time, probation, or community services. The severity of the penalties drastically increases in cases with minor passengers, a higher BAC, and whether a person died or was seriously injured as a result. Due to the high stakes involved—and the potential for prejudice—our legal team strives to ensure those charged with a DUI get a fair trial.

Divorce

Florida family law provides comprehensive rules for the legal regulation of domestic relations within the state, including the dissolution of marriage—known commonly as divorce. In addition to addressing concerning spousal support and the equitable distribution of marital property, a divorce may involve other family law matters such as the allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time—formerly known as child custody and visitation. Our dedicated legal team can help guide you through legal disputes arising from your divorce case in order to help protect the legal rights and interests of you and your children.

Family Law

In addition to divorce cases, The Law Offices of Jason K.S. Porter, P.A. has experience with other legal matters concerning Florida family law. Our legal services include the negotiation and litigation of issues associated with fathers’ rights and requesting court approval for relocation, due to opportunities regarding a parent’s employment, the child’s education, or family health concerns. You can count on our attorneys to tirelessly strive to preserve your legal rights in legal disputes involving Florida family law.

Personal injury

If you have been injured due to the negligence or wrongful conduct of another person, you may be entitled to receive legal compensation for such injuries. At , we have handled cases involving traffic collisions, dog attacks, workplace injuries, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, and injuries resulting from dangerous defects on private property.

Whether you need to defend your rights after an arrest, are looking for skilled family law representation, or need to pursue fair compensation following an accident or injury, you can face your legal matter with confidence if you choose to join forces with our team.

"Nicole Carlucci is truly excellent in her profession."
Attorney Nicole Carlucci was exactly what I needed. I chose her because she is professional, compassionate and fair. She explained everything to me and was really looking out for my best interests. She made herself available to hear all my concerns and questions. Ms. Carlucci made me aware of points that needed to be addressed that I didn’t know about. I would not have been able to get what was needed without her. She went above and beyond which is why I’m recommending her. In addition, she continued to support me with additional needs after the fact. Nicole Carlucci is truly excellent in her profession.

"Although I hope to never need their services again, if I do, I will definitely be giving them a call."
First and foremost, everyone from staff to the attorneys are all great!! I first started with the firm in 2015 and due to my own circumstances, I was unable to complete the needed court requirements in order to finalize my case. The amount I paid to retain an attorney was placed in a trust and they assured me it would be there until I completed my requirements. 4 years later they kept their word and finalized my case once I completed my needed court requirement. Everything was professional and in a timely fashion on their behalf. They also found a second issue that needed to be resolved and also completed that for me. Although I hope to never need their services again, if I do, I will definitely be giving them a call. Thank you, everyone!

"He prepared our family through each and every step."

"Bad things happen to good families and people” That is one of the first things Jason said to me and my son. The laws are set to protect us. However, the law can be black and white when there are several shades of grey. If a man has a beer in his own house after coming back from war but is only 20, should his dad be charged for contributing to the delinquency of a minor? Have you ever done something now looking back, it may not have been the best decision but nothing happened? That was not the case a few years ago to my family. A bad decision, one I am sure many of us have done in our younger days. A bad decision was made and it could have ruined a young man’s future. The courts are busy and things can fall through the cracks; I was making sure my son was not one of them. I knew Jason had worked for the District attorney’s office so he knew both sides of the law. He knew what the other side was going to do and say because he was there for many years. He prepared our family through each and every step. He made sure that we were proactive “getting ducks in a row” so to speak. If there was something mentioned, we had already taken care of it and showed no history and really no where for the other side to go. What could have been jail time ended up being a bump in the road. No one can promise anything is a sure thing. Jason did not make any promises he was not prepared to keep. He told us what normally happens, and what he was going to try for and he did. I rather have someone say there is a 70/30 chance than, “sure this is no problem, don’t worry about it”. We do worry about it. It is our lives or one of someone we love. Some cases may not be life or death, but they all are between a life that could be and a life that never will be. Jason understands that and approached it as if was his brother standing next to him. Every now and then, I will look at my son when eating dinner or something and think, if it was not for Jason and his group, I would have to visit my son to see him. I thanked God for Jason being there then, and have every day since.
